Made for Mermaids Sewing Patterns are digital downloads. You will print OR project them at home, OR send them to a copy shop to print. This is not a physical garment or pattern and nothing will be mailed to you. Poppy is a beautiful knit pattern full of options. The front bodice has a faux placket with a fitted chest and semi-fitted waist. The neckline is hemmed and includes both a regular or low option. The 1/2 circle skirt is both quick and flattering. Choose from 5 skirt options: peplum, mini, mini with tier, dress, or a dress with tier. Plus you can add optional inseam pockets. Perfect for year-round wear with 6 sleeves: sleeveless, short, half, long, a short flutter or long flutter. The sleeveless option is finished with knit bands. Poppy will be your new go-to for spring events, holidays, or everyday wear. Poppy Features: • Made for knit fabrics. • Faux button placket front. • 1/2 circle skirt. • 5 skirt options: peplum, mini length, mini with ruffle, dress, or dress with ruffle. • 6 sleeve options: sleeveless, short, half, long, short flutter, and long flutter. • The sleeveless option is finished with knit bands.   Sizes (includes both imperial and metric measurements): •Fits upper bust sizes 31-53 or 78.7-134.6 cm •Fits full bust sizes 30-60 or 76.2-153.4 cm •Fits high hip sizes: 29″-63″ or 73.6-160 cm. Skill level: •Confident beginner- hemming the faux placket and gathering the ruffle may be more difficult for a beginner sewist. Suggested Fabrics: •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit. •Drafted for light to medium weight knits with at least 40% stretch, good recovery, and good drape. •Double brushed poly, triblend, cupro, modal, rib knit, rayon spandex, bamboo lycra, ITY etc. •Knits such as CL with more structure will give a fuller look while knits that have less recovery, such as rayon spandex, tend to 'grow with wear' and may fit looser/larger.   Notions: •3-5 buttons (3/4” or smaller) or snaps. You can use larger buttons as well depending on your preference. •Optional- A stabilizer for the waist seam - you may use 1 knit interfacing or clear or knit elastic (3/8 or 1/2) to stabilize the seams. My preference for this pattern is 1 fusible knit stay tape. Optional Interfacing for functioning buttons. •Optional - Wash away hem tape. •Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, hem gauge, and marking tool. Ball point, stretch, or jersey needle. Knit twin needle optional.
